The European Road Assessment Program (EuroRAP) at the meeting held on 21 January 2021 in Brussels, announced the official launch of the National Action Plan for Road Safety according to the recommendations and policies of the European Commission. 20 leaders of the national program “EuroRAP”, have published a report with a series of concrete recommendations for European member states and the EC emphasizing the need to create a “‘Road Network Assessment Program” within the framework of a National road safety action plan.
“After several years of efforts, I am happy that we finally managed to extend the European Road Assessment Program EuroRAP in Kosovo. “With the implementation of the National Road Safety Action Plan unveiled in Brussels, Kosovo’s roads must now meet the criteria and standards of safety according to European protocols EuroRAP (at least three stars), thus providing safety for participants” “said Professor Muhamed Krasniqi, Head of the National Road Safety Program for Kosovo “EuroRAP” in Kosovo will be led by the Kosovo Motorization Association (AMRKS) which will include other institutions such as “Tempulli”, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from the University “Hasan Prishtina” , Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Institute for Road Safety and Transportation Research and the Association of Kosovo Municipalities EuroRAP from Brussels has licensed the AMRKS Kosovo Motoring Association with a National License for road scheme development (at the central and local) in Kosovo for the three-year period from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2023.
