Traffic and Transport Engineering

Description of specialization

Road traffic is an important factor for the world economy. There is an increasing lack of space for expanding our roads. Intelligent transportation systems are needed to keep traffic flowing. There is a need for big data sharing: communication between infrastructure and drivers, between infrastructure and the vehicle, and also between the vehicles themselves. However, intelligent highway designs and accurate assessments of traffic infrastructure are required before this can happen and autonomous driving can be accomplished.

Acceptance of road planning also plays an important role in making these plans a reality. More and more international road planning projects are looking for experts. With our integrated international dual-level Traffic and Transportation Engineering program, we want to educate and train engineers who can design and operate the road transport systems of the future.

Be an expert in the field of Transport Engineering and Road Infrastructure, where after completing your studies you will be able to:

  • demonstrate knowledge of management of activities in the field of transport;
  • to understand the road traffic system – Man, Machinery, Environment, Accidents and their consequences
  • road safety assessment and measures

With numerous employment opportunities in:

  • Design of Roads and Parking Lots
  • Traffic Engineering
  • Road Safety Engineering
