Road traffic

The “Road Traffic” is a qualification validated and accredited by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) based on Decision No. 01-600 dated 21.11.2017. The “Road Traffic” program belongs to Level IV under the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) with 42 credits of Vocational Education and Training VET.

1. General Purposes of the Program

The main purpose of the "Road Traffic" program is to develop the personality of potential candidates to get involved in a democratic society as active and competent citizens, as well as to be successful in the ever-changing job market. Important challenges to achieving this goal include developing a sense of self-confidence, cultivating free will in decision making, fostering a sense of entrepreneurship, and willingness for life-long learning.

In order to achieve these goals, it is necessary for the center of competence to provide candidates with:

- Appropriate learning opportunities regardless of gender, race, ethnicity and physical and mental abilities;

- Opportunities to develop professional competences, based on knowledge, skills and attitudes/values, enough to facilitate employment as well as advancement towards further vocational education and training;

- Conditions for recognizing and applying the principles of sustainable development, occupational safety and environmental regulations, in accordance with international standards;

- Conditions to get acquainted with current and prospective technologies and work processes in the Supplier Services sector;

- Facilitate understanding of the social, economic, local, national and regional environment, as well as being aware of the role they can play in this environment;

- Support to develop a sense of discipline, intellectual curiosity and moral values;

- Conditions to be assessed fairly and realistically regarding their potential and achievements;

- Support to assume responsibility in the process of their continuous personal and professional development;

- Support to enable forms of cooperation and mutual trust through hands-on work experience;

- Opportunity to get acquainted with the prospective developments of their profession, first in the context of regional and European integration;

- Provide health and safety in the workplace.

3. Professional Competencies

Upon successful completion of the "Road Traffic" study program, candidates will be able to exercise the following professional competencies:

- Prepare of the workplace;

- Select, use and maintain work tools and equipment;

- Place vertical signaling on the road;

- Mark the longitudinal and transverse lines of horizontal signaling on the road;

- Perform simple vehicle maintenance work;

- Perform technical inspection of vehicles;

- Implement the rules for environmental protection;

- Collect data on the use of the auto park;

- Implement a auto park maintenance program;

- Maintain horizontal and vertical signaling;

- Compile the outline of the signaling project;

- Perform measurements at the scene of the accident;

- Implement the rules of technical safety and protection at work;

- Perform the necessary tasks for vehicle registration;

- Collect and submit documentation for vehicles with accidents;

- Implement traffic counting;

- Complete the motor vehicle insurance policy

4. Duration of education

This professional study program envisages 420 teaching hours (theory, exercises, internships and assessment) in the duration of 1 year.
